I keep thinking I should have a special Throwback Thursday (#tbt) posting but every post is a throwback here at the Shades Cahaba Oral History Project. Here is a picture from the 1927 Owl of Las Toreras. My first thought was that it was one of the many literary societies at Shades Cahaba in the 1920s and 1930s. A quick search online for Las Toreras shows me a high school drill team, an album title, and a town in Honduras. Maybe you know what kind of a club this is. Anyway, they are located just to the left of the owl door.
