This historical banner about the 1980s and 1990s at Shades Cahaba was produced for the centennial celebration recently held at Shades Cahaba. This is the time that Shades Cahaba became the school that we know today. A major renovation was made filling in the courtyard of the school with a library, office, lunchroom and classrooms. The mail entrance was moved from the Owl door side of the school to one that faces the field. This has forever changed how those of us from the old school layout talk to people who attended the new school layout. You can never be sure which front door the person is talking about.
