This historical banner about the Owl at Shades Cahaba was produced for the centennial celebration recently held at Shades Cahaba. There is a lot of mystery surrounding the owl. It left the school about the same time our high school students left and did not return until 1978. Why did it leave? Why did it return? Where was it for almost 30 years?
